Elmbridge School is a specialist setting for a cohort of KS4 students with Education Health and Social Care Plans and for Primary students that have been permanently excluded from school.
We seek to foster an inclusive culture through our use of a relational approach, where we respond in a way that focuses upon the feelings and emotions that might drive certain behaviour, rather than the behaviour itself. We believe that our students feel valued through the promotion of diversity and empathy and helps to build each pupils self-esteem.
Our curriculum is broad and balanced and is modifiedto meet the diverse student needs of our cohort. It includes task adjustments and alternative resources and operates within a holistic educational experience that is aimed at filling gaps in student learning, enabling them to make progress, improve social skills, resilience and self-awareness and allows students to continue their education with confidence.
