Outreach

Outreach Programme

Tameside Pupil Referral Service provides outreach support to Secondary schools in the area.  The aim is to reduce problems and prevent further escalation of difficult behaviour and to re-engage students with their learning and school environment.  The support is provided within the student’s school and is targeted one to one individual session or groupwork sessions dependent on need.

Our areas of support on offer includes:

  • Developing appropriate self-management strategies
  • Improving and developing communication skills
  • Improving self-esteem and confidence building
  • Building resilience
  • Improving relationships/Healthy relationships
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Motivation
  • Goal setting

The outreach service also works alongside our Elmbridge site to offer a step out programme for those students who need extra targeted support away from their home school environment.
